Rambagh Palace began in 1835 as a garden house and became the residence of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II of Jaipur in 1925. After Independence it was turned into a hotel, and Taj has run it since 1972. Today it has 78 rooms and suites across 47 acres of gardens on Bhawani Singh Road, about 11 km from Jaipur airport. For weddings it offers ten event spaces, from the 14-seat Chambers of Princes to Naksha Garden, which holds up to 2,000 guests. It is one of the few palace hotels where the main functions can run on lawns inside the city rather than an hour's drive out.
Rambagh Palace has 78 keys: 45 Palace Rooms and 33 suites. The suites range from Historical and Royal Suites to Grand Royal Suites such as the Rajmata Gayatri Devi Suite, and two Grand Presidential Suites, Suryavanshi and Sukh Niwas. For a wedding, the suites work well for the couple and both families, with Palace Rooms for close relatives. Each room sleeps up to three guests.

Rambagh has ten event spaces: five lawns and gardens, a terrace, and four indoor halls and chambers. Naksha Garden, at nearly 96,000 sq.ft., is the largest and takes up to 2,000 guests, while Mughal Garden handles receptions for up to 1,000. Because the lawns are spread across the grounds, the wedding and the reception can run in separate spaces without a turnaround between them.
