Once the booking is secured, the planning follows. We map each function to a space, coordinate décor and vendors within the hotel's guidelines, arrange overflow rooms at nearby hotels for larger guest lists, and plan guest transfers from the airport and railway station.

- Wedding or reception for 1,000+ guests: Naksha Garden (up to 2,000) or Mughal Garden (reception for up to 1,000)
- Sangeet or reception indoors: Maharaja Mahal, around 10,500 sq.ft. under Rajput arches (up to 800 theatre, 350 sit-down)
- Mehendi, haldi or cocktail evening: Panghat Lawn (up to 350) or Sunken Lawn (up to 200)
- Pheras for close family: Oriental Garden (up to 150) or Mughal Terrace (up to 120)
- Welcome dinner or puja: Maharani Mahal (up to 200 reception) or Chandra Mahal (up to 50)
When to book

What shapes the cost of a Rambagh Palace wedding
The hotel quotes each wedding separately, so the total depends on your plan rather than a fixed package. The main factors are:
- The number of rooms and nights in your block, and which suite categories you choose
- Your dates: shubh muhurat weekends in peak season cost more than weekday or off-season dates
- Which lawns and halls you book, and for how many functions
- Guest count and menu for each meal, and the bar plan (outside alcohol is not permitted)
- Décor scale through the hotel's approved decorators

Worth knowing before you book
With 78 keys, Rambagh can house the immediate family and VIP guests, but most weddings of more than about 150 staying guests need a second hotel nearby for the wider guest list. The palace is also in the middle of the city, so evening baraat routes and guest transfers need to be timed around Jaipur traffic. We plan both into the booking from the start.

Rambagh Palace began in 1835 as a garden house and became the residence of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II of Jaipur in 1925. After Independence it was turned into a hotel, and Taj has run it since 1972. Today it has 78 rooms and suites across 47 acres of gardens on Bhawani Singh Road, about 11 km from Jaipur airport. For weddings it offers ten event spaces, from the 14-seat Chambers of Princes to Naksha Garden, which holds up to 2,000 guests. It is one of the few palace hotels where the main functions can run on lawns inside the city rather than an hour's drive out.
