An Umaid Bhawan Palace wedding starts with three things: your dates, a room block for the family, and the right venue for each function. With only 64 rooms and four event spaces, availability is the deciding factor, so send us your preferred dates and approximate guest count as early as...
Umaid Bhawan Palace was built between 1929 and 1943 for Maharaja Umaid Singh and is one of the largest private residences in the world. The palace is divided into three parts: the home of the Jodhpur royal family, a museum, and a 64-room hotel run by Taj. It stands on 26 acres, including 15 acres of gardens, on Chittar Hill above the city. For weddings it offers four venues, led by the Baradari lawns for up to 1,500 guests, and very few dates each season.
The hotel wing has 64 rooms and suites in Art Deco style: Palace Rooms, Historical Suites, Royal and Grand Royal Suites, and three signature suites, the Maharaja, Maharani and Mehfil Suites. For a wedding, the suites suit the couple and both families, with Palace Rooms for close relatives.
