Mementos by ITC Hotels, Ekaaya is Udaipur's hillside villa resort, set on the road towards the Eklingji temple, about 20 km from the city. It opened in March 2023 and was designed with weddings in mind. It has more than 100,000 sq.ft. of event space, including one of the largest open lawns in the Udaipur region, and 117 villas and suites spread across roughly 50 acres. This guide explains how the resort works for a wedding, from the venues and villas to cost drivers, timing and booking.
Mementos is ITC's collection of distinctive resorts, and Ekaaya was its first property in India. Instead of a single main building, guests stay in clusters of villas across the Aravali hillside, many with private decks and some with their own pools. The resort is about 40 minutes from Udaipur airport and close to two important temples, Eklingji and Shrinathji at Nathdwara, which many families like to visit during a wedding.
There are five dining outlets, including Royal Vega, a fully vegetarian restaurant, and Kebabs & Kurries for frontier cuisine, plus the Kaya Kalp spa and an infinity pool facing the hills. Activities range from tennis and pickleball to archery, cycling and segway rides, which keeps younger guests busy between functions.

For room planning, we suggest giving the private-pool suites to the couple and parents, and keeping villas in the same cluster for each side of the family so they stay close together.
October to March suits the open lawns best, with December to February the busiest months. Because Hindu wedding dates pause during Kharmas, roughly mid-December to mid-January, the weeks just before and after fill quickly. April to June is hot and best for evening-only events, while the monsoon, from July to September, makes the hills lush but needs the Stateroom held as a backup.
At 20 km from Udaipur, Mementos gives you privacy and space that city hotels can't match. The trade-off is that the lakes and old city are a drive away, so guests who want a City Palace or boat ride visit should go as a planned group outing. Being close to Eklingji and Nathdwara is a real plus for families who want a blessing or darshan as part of the celebrations.
