Traffic and geography. The resort properties sit outside the city, which is what makes them good venues. It also means guest movement between a city hotel and an outskirts venue can take well over an hour at the wrong time of day. We prefer plans where guests stay where the wedding happens.

The 10pm sound restriction. Outdoor amplified music stops at ten, so late-night celebration moves indoors. As in Goa, this is planned for rather than discovered.

Blended ceremonies. Where families are combining South and North Indian traditions, the function list grows and the running order needs negotiating between two sets of customs. We have run this often and will map the full programme before anything is booked.
