Planning around Jodhpur's palaces
A palace wedding in Jodhpur is usually built around one landmark hotel. Those hotels have limited rooms, so the first planning decision is who stays at the main venue and who stays nearby. We decide this with you early, because it affects the room block, transfers and the order of functions.
Events at Mehrangarh Fort or other heritage sites are possible for some couples, but they depend on availability and approval from the site's management, and they come with their own rules on timings, décor and sound. We find out what is allowed before we build a function around it.
Season and timings
Jodhpur is hot from April to June, so most weddings take place between October and March. Even in winter, afternoons can be warm, which is why we keep outdoor functions to the morning or evening and plan shade for day events.
What guests can do between functions
We build short outings into the itinerary: Mehrangarh Fort, the blue lanes of the old city, Toorji ka Jhalra stepwell and the Clock Tower market. It keeps guests happy on the free afternoon and gives them a reason to arrive a day early.
