Which space suits which function

• Wedding or grand reception: The Lawn, 75,000 sq.ft., for up to 5,000 guests
• Sangeet or indoor reception: The Grand Ballroom, 20,000 sq.ft., for up to 700 guests
• Mehendi, haldi or cocktails: The Courtyard, for up to 300 guests in the open air
• Family puja, ring ceremony or dinner: The Banquet, for up to 150 guests

Before you book a new hotel

• Ask for the opening date in writing. New hotels can move their launch, so any wedding contract should cover what happens if opening slips.
• Allow a settling-in period. We usually suggest planning a large wedding a few months after opening, once kitchens and teams are fully running.
• Match your guest list to rooms. The Lawn holds far more people than 210 rooms can house, so very large weddings need extra hotel rooms nearby.

When to marry in Agra

October, November, February and March are the most comfortable months. December and January bring heavy morning fog that can delay flights and trains, and April to June is very hot, so functions work best indoors or late in the evening.
