1. Check the fair week. We match your dates against the annual Kartik Purnima fair before we approach the hotel.
2. Hold the rooms. We request a room block sized to your guest list and agree a release date for unused rooms.
3. Get terms on paper. Ballroom timings, menu options and any bar arrangements are confirmed in writing by the hotel on your behalf.

With the booking secured, our planning team takes over the rest: which function goes where, décor and vendors within Taj guidelines, airport and station pickups, and optional lake and temple visits for elders in the family.

Where it may not fit

Very large weddings will outgrow the resort's 110 keys and need extra rooms at a second hotel. Pushkar is also a pilgrimage town with a long vegetarian and no-liquor tradition. How that applies to a resort on its outskirts is a question we put to the hotel formally, and families who need a full bar should know the answer before they commit.

Choosing your month

November to February brings cool evenings that suit outdoor sangeets and receptions. The Kartik Purnima fair week, usually in late October or November, fills the town and its roads, so we plan around it. Summer afternoons are harsh, and monsoon dates work best with the main functions indoors.

Taj Pushkar Resort & Spa is Taj's first address in Pushkar, set on Nagaur Road at Banseli, a short drive out of town from the holy lake. It has 110 keys across six room and villa categories, a ballroom of over 7,500 sq.ft., and green lawns for daytime functions. It suits families who want a wedding with a spiritual setting close at hand but the calm of a resort away from the town's crowds. Because it has only recently started taking guests, dates here are easier to secure than at Pushkar's older, more established properties.
