Ranthambore gives you something no city venue can: a wedding next to one of India's best-known tiger reserves, with a safari between functions. The choice of luxury resorts is small, though, and most have well under 150 rooms, so the right venue depends on how many guests need to stay with you. This guide covers the five Ranthambore wedding venues we book, with listed prices, capacities and what to check before you sign.
Prices below are indicative. They come from publicly listed starting rates checked in October 2026. The final quote always depends on your dates, guest count, number of functions and the size of your room block.
Based on rates the resorts list publicly (before tax):
Because inventories are small, many Ranthambore weddings take a full resort for two or three nights. For a full budget breakdown by wedding size, see our Rajasthan destination wedding budget guide.
| Venue | Setting | Rooms | Largest function space | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa | New resort, 14 acres, 10 min from the park | 127 | Pavilion 1 (up to 450 banquet) | Full weddings under one roof |
| Nahargarh Ranthambore | Rajput hunting-palace style resort | 99 | Front Lawns and Mughal Garden | Palace-style mid-size weddings |
| Taj Sawai Ranthambore | Contemporary jungle resort | 60 | Outdoor lawns (up to about 500 reception) | Smaller luxury weddings |
| Sawai Madhopur Lodge (The Maharaja's Lodge) | 1930s royal hunting lodge, Taj | 39 | Front Lawn (up to 1,000) | Heritage weddings, big lawn |
| Six Senses Fort Barwara | 14th-century fort, 30 min from the park | 48 suites | Zenana Mahal (about 200) | Intimate fort weddings, buyouts |
The newest large wedding venue in Ranthambore, opened in June 2026 on a 14-acre site at Jamool Khera, about ten minutes from the national park. It has 127 keys, from Deluxe rooms to tented suites, family villas with private pools and a Presidential Villa, and sleeps around 300 guests. Pavilion 1 seats up to 450 and Pavilion 3 covers over 12,000 sq ft, so the wedding and reception can run in separate spaces. Because it is new, its wedding calendar still has good dates. See venue details.
Built in the style of a Rajput hunting palace, with fortified walls, courtyards and Mughal-style gardens at Khilchipur. It has 99 rooms and suites, three pools including the Hathi Kund pool and amphitheatre, and open lawns for the main functions. It suits couples who want a palace setting close to the park; larger guest lists need a second resort. See venue details.
A contemporary Taj jungle resort at Khilchipur with 60 rooms and suites, many with private plunge pools and courtyards. The outdoor lawns take about 500 for a reception, and the indoor banquet hall about 130. A good choice for a smaller, polished wedding with most guests on site. See venue details.
Built in 1933 as the hunting lodge of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II of Jaipur, and now run by IHCL as The Maharaja's Lodge. It has 39 rooms and suites in large gardens close to the park. Its Front Lawn takes up to 1,000 guests and the Rajbagh Lawn about 500, the biggest open spaces among these venues. With so few rooms, big weddings pair it with a second resort. See venue details.
A 14th-century fort at Chauth ka Barwara, about 30 minutes from the park, opened as a Six Senses hotel in 2021 and known as the venue of Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal's wedding. Inside the walls are two palaces, two temples, 48 suites and a 30,000 sq ft spa. It sleeps about 96 guests, so it is usually taken in full by one wedding. The Zenana Mahal takes about 200. See venue details, or read our Six Senses Fort Barwara wedding cost guide.
These are the starting rates resorts list publicly on wedding platforms. Where no rate is listed, or the listing looked out of date, we show "On request".

How to read this table:
To compare hotels on the same basis, we worked out an approximate cost for a two-night wedding using each hotel's listed rates:
| Hotel | Rooms (2 nights) | Food (4 meals) | GST (18%) | Estimated total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Six Senses Fort Barwara | ₹57.6 lakh | ₹28.8 lakh | ₹15.6 lakh | ₹1.02 crore – ₹1.37 crore |
| JW Marriott Ranthambore Resort & Spa | ₹67.2 lakh | ₹25.0 lakh | ₹16.6 lakh | ₹1.09 crore – ₹1.44 crore |
These figures cover rooms and food only. Décor, entertainment, photography, bar and transfers are not included and are quoted separately. We used 96 guests in 48 rooms because that is the full capacity of Six Senses Fort Barwara. Venues whose rates are on request are not included. Treat them as a starting point for comparison, not a quote; the hotel's actual offer depends on your dates and the size of your booking.

October to March is the main season. With so few rooms in Ranthambore, popular weekend muhurats can be fully booked a year ahead, so start 12–18 months out for peak dates. Check this season's dates in our Hindu wedding dates 2027 calendar and vivah muhurat 2028 guide. April to June is hot, and evening functions work best then.
Our team has more than 50 years of combined luxury hospitality experience and long-standing relationships with Rajasthan's resorts. We check your dates across all five venues at once, hold the room block or full buyout, and confirm everything with the resort on your behalf. If you want full planning after that, we handle décor, catering, transfers and safaris too.

Listed plate rates at Ranthambore's luxury resorts start at about ₹6,500–₹7,500 per person before tax, and listed room rates run from about ₹20,000 to ₹70,000 a night. With small room inventories, the total depends heavily on how many guests stay on site and for how many nights.
It depends on size. JW Marriott Ranthambore can keep a full wedding of about 300 staying guests in one resort. Six Senses Fort Barwara suits an intimate fort wedding. Sawai Madhopur Lodge has the largest single lawn, for up to 1,000 guests.
Most resorts here have 40–130 rooms. JW Marriott sleeps about 300 guests, Nahargarh has 99 rooms, and Six Senses Fort Barwara sleeps about 96. Larger weddings book two resorts close to each other.
Jaipur airport is about 168 km by road, a drive of several hours. Many guests take the train to Sawai Madhopur, which is close to all the resorts in this guide.
October to March. Days are pleasant and evenings are cool for outdoor functions. The park's core safari zones usually close from July to September, and April to June is hot, so functions then work best in the evening.
At Six Senses Fort Barwara in December 2021. The 14th-century fort is about 30 minutes from Ranthambore National Park and has 48 suites.
Usually not. Listed rates are before tax. GST is 18% on rooms above ₹7,500 a night and 18% on food and beverage at luxury hotels.
Yes, outside the July to September closure of the core zones. Book safari permits early and keep them to mornings so they don't clash with functions.
Using listed rates for 48 rooms, four catered meals and 18% GST, rooms and food alone come to about ₹1.02–1.37 crore at Six Senses Fort Barwara and about ₹1.09–1.44 crore at JW Marriott Ranthambore. Décor, entertainment, photography, bar and transfers are extra.
